Low-income households, social institutions as well as small and medium-sized business enterprises have sustainable access to modern energy technologies and supply services.
Approach The project is part of the global multi-donor energy partnership Energising Development (EnDev), a global initiative implemented by GIZ and financed by the Netherlands, Germany, Australia, Great Britain, Norway and Switzerland.
The project develops strategies for supplying social institutions and private households in rural regions and small farmers with cost-effective and sustainable energy, in particular to meet their basic needs such as lighting, cooking and hot water.

Vorgehensweise Das Vorhaben ist Teil der globalen Multi-Geber-Energiepartners... Energising Development (EnDev), einer globalen Initiative, die von der GIZ durchgeführt und von den Niederlanden, Deutschland, Australien, Großbritannien, Norwegen und der Schweiz finanziert wird.
Im Projekt werden Strategien entwickelt, um Sozialeinrichtungen und private Haushalte in ländlichen Gebieten sowie Kleinbauern kostengünstig und nachhaltig mit Energie zu versorgen, vor allem für grundlegende Dinge wie Beleuchtung, Kochen oder das Erhitzen von Wasser.

Ohne eine wettbewerbsfähigere Industrie wird es nicht gelingen, Wachstum und Beschäftigung wieder anzukurbeln und den Anteil des verarbeitenden Gewerbes am BIP bis 2020 auf 20 % anzuheben.
