Ein Syndrom, das sich durch eine deutliche Verminderung der Augenabduktion und durch eine variable Einschränkung der Adduktion auszeichnet, sowie einer Retraktion des Augapfels und einer Verengung der Lidspalte bei versuchter Adduktion.
Ursache der Krankheit ist eine aberrierende Innervation des Musculus rectus lateralis durch Fasern des Nervus oculomotorius.
