The film tells the story of a modern “Caucasian Chalk Circle”: an adopted child gets to know his biological mother and subsequently starts questioning his previous family life as well as the relationship with his adoptive mother.

Der kann nun plötzlich das niedliche Küken nicht mehr fressen und kümmert sich statt dessen rührend um sein „ Adoptivkind “, dem er den Namen Lorenz gibt.
Zu einem hübschen Erpel herangewachsen verliebt sich Lorenz in eine Ente, Emma, die zu Konrad und Lorenz zieht und schon bald fünf Eier legt.
