It is however reasonably sure that the Abyssinian has developed from the wild cat and marsh cats.
It is recognised that in 1868 Mrs. Barrett-Lennard either, brought a cat from Abyssinia (today Ethiopia) back to England, or had one given to her.
The name of this animal was supposedly Zula or Zulu.

It seems certain that coffee first appeared upon the scene ca. 1400 years after Christ in Abyssinia.
However, whether it was shepherds whose camels were unable to sleep at nights because they had been eating the leaves and the fruits of the wild coffee plant, is not proven.
