Funding agencies from 10 countries and regions are involved in EuroTransBio. © Projektträger JülichEuroTransBio has held a round of selection for transnational collaborative projects led by small and medium-sized enterprises ( SMEs ) every year since 2006.
The first eight rounds of selection (2006-2013) provided a total funding volume of 233 million euros to 135 research projects of transnational consortia whose members are biotechnology companies in the partner countries and their academic partners.
The majority of the projects are in medical biotechnology (83%) but also include projects in agriculture and food research (10%), industrial biotechnology (6%) and marine biotechnology (1%).

Bei den ersten acht Auswahlrunden (2006-2013) wurden insgesamt 135 Forschungsprojekte transnationaler Konsortien, bestehend aus Biotechnologie-Unternehmen der Partnerländer und deren akademischen Partnern, mit einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von 233 Millionen Euro gefördert.
Die Projekte kommen überwiegend aus der medizinischen Biotechnologie (83 Prozent), aber auch aus dem Agrar- und Ernährungssektor (10 Prozent), der industriellen Biotechnologie (6 Prozent) und der marinen Biotechnologie (1 Prozent).

The first of the four conference days was dedicated to two workshops and one tutorial held in parallel under the direction of European consortia.
The subsequent three days of the main conference consisted of 15 plenary sessions, including in particular two invited talks and a panel.

Der erste der vier Konferenztage wurde der Durchführung paralleler Veranstaltungen (2 Workshops und 1 Tutorial) unter der Regie europäischer Konsortien gewidmet.
Die anschließende dreitägige Haupttagung bestand aus 15 Plenarsitzungen, darunter zwei eingeladenen Vorträgen und einem Panel.
