Your Inventory panel (Box 4, middle left) holds all of your unassigned units, structures, and Commander abilities, as well as info on what’s available for purchase.
Selecting any unit, structure, or Commander ability in your Inventory brings that unit to the front view of the Armory and opens the Information menu on the middle right of your screen (Box 5, middle right).
