Er ist einer der wenigen Kunsttischler überhaupt, die mit der Herstellung der kunstvollen Montafonertische vertraut sind und noch heute vorwiegend in Handarbeit die begehrten Tische herstellen.
Solche Tische, die eine außerordentlich große Haltbarkeit aufweisen, werden aus heimischen Hölzern ( Birne, Kirsche, Eiche, Buche, Nuss, Ulme und Ahorn ) hergestellt, die zuvor einige Jahre luftgetrocknet wurden.
Das besondere an einem Original-Montafonertisch ist, dass in der Mitte eine Schieferplatte ist und die Holzeinlagen um die Platte 5 mm stark sind.
