Zuoberst liegt das Haus für das Personal, am Ufer des Sees steht das grosszügige Bootshaus und dazwischen liegt das chaletartige Haupthaus, welches einen wunderbaren Ausblick über den Thunersee und den sich auf dem gegenüberliegenden Uferseite erhebenden Niesen ermöglicht.
Ende der 80er Jahre verebbte allmählich das Interesse nach Heimferien, so dass der Betrieb 1992 dem Verein für Jugendherbergen übertragen wurde.

After years of paperwork with the Historical Preservation Agency and for funding and a lot of self-initiative the new boathouse was opened on May 30, 1986 in the harbor of Mondorf.
The club kept growing; to this day there is a cooperation with the Gymnasium Sieglar and the Gesamtschule Oberlar, and there have been boat dedications in 1987, 1991, 1992 and 1998.
