Bonn blieb somit von den Folgen der Frühindustrialisierung verschont und es zogen in der Folge mehr und mehr reiche Rentner, Privatiers und Industrielle zu, die die ruhige Atmosphäre der Universitätsstadt und die landschaftliche Schönheit ringsum schätzten.
