Unser Ziel ist es, PhilosophInnen mit unterschiedlichem Hintergrund ins Gespräch über philosophische Fragen zu bringen, die mit Rationalität und Rationalismus zusammenhängen.
Besonders sind wir an Fragen interessiert, die in Verbindung mit rationaler Rechtfertigung und Kritik sowie mit Rechtfertigung und Kritik von Rationalität als solcher stehen.

Mittlerweile investieren viele arabische Staaten – nicht nur am ölreichen Golf – wieder deutlich mehr in Wissenschaft und Forschung.

Philippe Streit Gefördert vom FWF Ziel des von Harald Stelzer eingereichten und koordinierten FWF-Projektes war die Entwicklung einer systematischen und kohärenten kritisch-rationalen ethischen Theorie unter Berücksichtigung der Philosophie Karl Poppers und des Kritischen Rationalismus.
Das Projekt vereinigte hierfür Überlegungen aus den Bereichen der Ethik, Sozialphilosophie, Erkenntnis- und Wissenschaftstheorie sowie wichtiger Themen aus der Metaethik und der normativen und angewandten Ethik.

Philippe Streit Funded by the Austrian Science Fund The aim of this FWF-funded project, which was submitted and coordinated by Harald Stelzer, was to develop a systematic and coherent critical-rationalist ethical position by building on Karl Popper’s philosophy and Critical Rationalism.
To do so we took into account critical-rationalist considerations of ethics, social philosophy, epistemology, and philosophy of science as well as important debates in meta-, normative and applied ethics.
