März 2008 in einer belgischen Tageszeitung veröffentlichten Artikels soll sich ein Abgeordneter des Parlaments Zugang zu den Jahresabschlüssen der Nationalbank beschafft und Kenntnis der geschätzten Steuerersparnis infolge des Abzugs fiktiver Zinsen auf Risikokapital erhalten haben.
Diese Informationen wurden von einer Person verbreitet, die im Rahmen ihrer Tätigkeit Zugang dazu hatte und ihre Schweigepflicht missachtete.

According to an article published in a Belgian daily paper on 4 March 2008, a member of the federal parliament succeeded in obtaining the Bank’s annual accounts and the estimate of the tax saving resulting from the notional interest deduction.
This information was disclosed in breach of the discretion obligation by a person who had access to it in the course of his or her duties, whereas, in the case of the annual accounts, publication was scheduled for 14 March 2008.
