Aufgrund seines regionalen Mandats arbeitet das Projekt fallweise mit den bilateralen Programmen und Vorhaben in den ASEAN-Mitgliedsländern zusammen, die thematischen Bezug zum Vorhaben haben.
Im globalen Rahmen arbeitet das Projekt mit dem vom Bundesumweltministerium beauftragten Vorhaben „Blue Solutions“ im Bereich des Schutzes der Meeresgebiete zusammen und stellt dafür die Verbindung zu den ASEAN-Staaten her.
