Von 2008 bis 2009 war sie beim Statistischen Bundesamt in Bonn im Bereich Agrarstatistik als Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin tätig und führt dort eine Pilotstudie zur Erhebbarkeit des Düngemitteleinsatzes in der Landwirtschaft sowie eine Datenverfügbarkeitsanalyse für Agrarumweltindikatoren auf EU-Ebene durch.
Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in der Modellierung von Umweltsystemen sowie in der Erforschung des Spannungsfelds zwischen Ökologie, Gesellschaft und Ökonomie im Allgemeinen und Landwirtschaft im Besonderen und in der Entwicklung von nachhaltigen Lösungsvorschlägen.

From 2008 until 2009 she was employed as a research assistant by the Federal Statistical Office in Bonn in the department of agricultural statistic, where she conducted a feasibility study of a survey of fertilizer usage in agricultural holdings as well as a data availability analysis for agricultural environmental indicators at the EU-level.
Her research interests include the modeling of environmental ecosysystems, the exploration of conflicts between ecology, society and economics in general and – specifically – agriculture, as well as the development of sustainable solutions.
