An jedem der insgesamt sechzehn Schauplätze zeigen die Filmemacherinnen aber nicht nur Alltag und Arbeit der Menschen, sondern formen sie aus den zahlreichen Erzählungen, die ihnen im Lauf ihrer Reise zugetragen werden, eine weitere, nicht minder spannende – eine Geschichte, die von der Gegenwart erzählt.
Dass das Ganze mehr ist als die Summe seiner Teile, wusste bereits Aristoteles, und so ist es doppelt stimmig, dass 1+8, dessen Gesamtwert ebenfalls weit über seine acht Episoden hinausreicht, in Griechenland endet.

Im Rahmen des CAS-Schwerpunkts erfolgt auch die Ausrichtung des 19. Symposium Aristotelicum im Juli 2011, beim dem sich dreißig internationale Forscher mit der Schrift De Motu Animalium auseinandersetzen werden;

A seminal text for this research focus is Aristotle’s De Motu Animalium, in which the author covers the mechanical, hydraulic and thermodynamic prerequisites for the self-motion of living beings as well as the interaction between these physical conditions with the representations, desires, wishes or even decisions of the beings at stake.
Acitivities of this research focus include the organization of the 19th Symposium Aristotelicum in July 2011, during which thirty researchers from various countries will be discussing the De Motu Animalium treatise.

Gestützt auf seine Vorlesungen zu ethischen und politischen Schriften des Aristoteles und Ciceros, die 1529 bis 1532 veröffentlicht wurden, publizierte er ab 1538 sein eigenes System der Ethik bzw. seit 1550 dessen verbesserte Fassung.
1540 veröffentlichte Melanchthon den ersten Teil seiner Lehre vom Menschen ( De anima, endgültige Fassung 1553 ) und wenig später 1549 sein physikalisches Werk, in dem er sich auch zu dem gerade veröffentlichten kopernikanischen Weltbild äußerte.

Perhaps it is no coincidence that Aristotle, in his “Politics”, agreed with Plato that the ideal city should be about the size of Assos.
In modern America, a community of that size would barely warrant a post office.
