www.sowi.rub.deDavor war sie als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin drei Jahre lang am Lehrstuhl für Entwicklungsökonomie an der Universität Göttingen und ein Jahr lang an der Harvard School of Public Health.
Ihre Forschungsinteressen liegen im Bereich der empirischen Mikro-Ökonomie.Dabei fokussiert sie sich vor allem auf Fragen der Unsicherheit, Gesundheits- und Bevölkerungsökonomie.Ein weiterer Forschungsschwerpunkt ist die Wirksamkeit der Entwicklungshilfe.
Einen Grossteil ihrer Forschungsvorhaben und Beratungsmandate hat Isabel Günther in Mali, Benin, Burkina Faso, Äthiopien, Süd-Afrika und Kenia durchgeführt.
www.nadel.ethz.chShe had previously been research associate at the Faculty of Development Economics of the University of Göttingen for three years and at the Harvard School of Public Health for one year.
Her main research interest is in empirical microeconomics with a particular focus on measurement of poverty, health and population economics, economics of water and sanitation and effectiveness of development aid.
Isabel Günther has carried out most of her research in Mali, Benin, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, South Africa and Kenya.
