Die CAADP-Initiative wird befähigt, regionale Wirtschaftsgemeinschaften und AU-Mitgliedsländer dabei zu unterstützen, bei der landwirtschaftlichen Entwicklung Strategien zur Klimawandelanpassung umzusetzen.

www.giz.deWirkungen Ein vom Vorhaben entwickeltes Capacity-Development-Programm zur Einbindung von Ökosystemleistungen und Klimaanpassung in regionalen und kommunalen Entwicklungsplänen wird zurzeit umgesetzt.
Die Akteure aus den Regionalen Observatorien für Umwelt und Nachhaltige Entwicklung (OREDD), aus regionale Gebietskörperschaften und Kommunen in den Pilotregionen werden für ihre Funktionen und Aufgaben bei der Klimawandelanpassung gestärkt.
Für den lokalen Öko-Tourismus wurden in der Pilotregion Souss-Massa Nachhaltigkeitsstandards entwickelt, insbesondere für Schutzgebiete sowie den Arganwald und seine Produkte.
www.giz.deResults As part of the project, a capacity development programme was developed on incorporating ecosystem services and climate change adaptation into regional and municipal development plans and is currently being implemented.
Those involved in the Regional Observatories for Environment and Sustainable Development (OREDD) from the regional authorities and municipalities in the pilot regions are receiving support to strengthen their roles and responsibilities related to climate change adaptation.
Sustainability standards were developed for local ecotourism in the Souss-Massa pilot region, particularly for protected areas as well as the argan forest and its products.
