Aktuelle Forschungsfelder sind die Entwicklung und Anwendungsanalyse digitaler Lifelogging- und Erinnerungssysteme, die Untersuchung der Bedeutung von Kommunikationstechnologien zur sozialen Inklusion von Älteren und die kritische sozialwissenschaftliche Begleitung der Tafel-Bewegung sowie armutsökonomischer Angebote in Deutschland.
