Abteilung 6.1 ist zuständig für die juristische Betreuung von Forschungsprojekten sowie das Gründungs- und Patentmanagement.
Zudem stellt sie verschiedene Informationsdienste zur Forschungsförderung zur Verfügung und gibt Unterstützung bei der Antragstellung in koordinierten Programmen.
