Two sensors on the wing and one sensor in the drive assembly continuously monitor the canopy and flight situation giving the Virtual Cage automatic control of the eDrive that is both faster and more reliable than control by the pilot by alone.
Since the pilot cannot always perfectly monitor the canopy during launch, the Virtual cage adds an increased margin of safety with its ability to instantly detect unstable take-off and/or flight conditions and its virtually instant control over the motor.
