Nach einem kurzen Rückblick auf die Lehrveranstaltung Betriebswirtschaft 2 und die Grundlagen der Kosten- und Leistungsrechnung werden ihm zunächst die Anforderungen einer modernen, managementorientierten Kostenrechnung verdeutlicht.
Darauf aufbauend erlernt er, wie mit Hilfe der Deckungsbeitragsrechnung, respektive Teilkostenrechnung kurzfristige Entscheidungsprobleme bewertet und gelöst werden können.
Im letzten Teil der Lehrveranstaltung werden dem Studenten die Fachbegriffe, die Vorgehensweise sowie Nutzen und Grenzen der drei nachfolgenden modernen Kostenmanagement-Verfahren vermittelt:

They will then learn how to assess and solve direct costing short-term decision-making problems with the help of the break even analysis.
In the final part of the lecture series the students will become acquainted with the terms, processes, use and constraints of the three consecutive modern cost management processes: target cost accounting, activity-based costing and life cycle costing.
