In its report entitled ‘Towards a Green Economy – Pathways to Sustainable Development and Poverty Eradication’ of November 2011, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) illustrates how an environmental transformation of the economy can be achieved and how this transformation can stimulate economic growth.
