Der Europäische Fonds für die Anpassung an die Globalisierung soll Arbeitnehmer, die infolge der Entwicklungen des Welthandels vom Strukturwandel betroffen sind, bei ihren Bemühungen um Wiedereingliederung in den Arbeitsmarkt unterstützen.
Der für den Fonds eingesetzte Höchstbetrag beträgt jährlich 500 Mio. EUR.

the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund is intended to provide additional support for workers suffering from the consequences of major structural changes in world trade patterns, to assist them with their reintegration into the labour market.
The maximum annual amount allocated to the Fund is EUR 500 million.
