Der Aufsichtsrat wählt aus seiner Mitte ein paritätisch besetztes vierköpfiges Präsidium, das ihm Beschlussempfehlungen für Inhalt, Gestaltung und Abschluss der Anstellungsverträge mit den Vorstandsmitgliedern gibt.
Das Präsidium ist außerdem für sonstige personelle Angelegenheiten von Vorständen und Prokuristen zuständig und hat im Geschäftsjahr 2012 viermal getagt .
Daneben wird ein ebenfalls paritätisch besetzter sechsköpfiger Prüfungsausschuss gewählt, der im Wesentlichen für Fragen der Rechnungslegung, des Risikomanagements, des internen Kontrollsystems und der Compliance zuständig ist.

The Steering Committee is also responsible for other staff matters regarding Executive Board members and senior managers and has met four times in the financial year 2012.
A six-member Audit Committee with equal shareholder and employee representation is also elected, which is essentially responsible for matters relating to accounting principles, risk management, the internal control system and compliance.
