Der Gesamtumfang des Projekts beträgt knapp 2,4 Millionen Euro, wobei 1.7 Millionen Euro allein den Ulmer Partnern Prof. Jörg Fegert ( PI ), Prof. Harald Gündel und Prof. Iris-Tatjana Kolassa bewilligt wurden, um in einer großangelegten Studie Mütter und ihre Säuglinge von der Geburt bis zum ersten Lebensjahr längsschnittlich zu untersuchen.
Von Interesse ist der Einfluss von eigenen positiven wie negativen Kindheitserfahrungen auf den Übergang zur eigenen Elternschaft sowie die Beziehung zum eigenen Kind.

The investigation will address the effect of positive and negative childhood experiences of the mothers on their own transition to parenthood and their relationship to their own child.
