Abschließende Überlegungen
Da das Beschäftigungseinkommen für die Menschen die Haupteinkommensquelle ist, entscheiden Quantität und Qualität der Beschäftigung, die von Frauen, Männern und Haushalten ausgeübt wird, zu einem großen Teil darüber, wer arm ist und wer nicht.Das geschieht nicht nur in Bezug auf einkommensbezogene Armut sondern auch in Bezug auf andere Dimensionen der Armut.
Daher müssen die Anstrengungen zur Armutsbekämpfung stärker als bisher die Bedürfnisse und Einschränkungen berücksichtigen, denen erwerbstätige Arme und insbesondere Frauen in der informellen Wirtschaft unterliegen.

Since earnings from employment are people’s main source of income, the quantity and quality of employment available to women, men and households matter a great deal in determining who is poor and who is not – not only in terms of income poverty but also in terms of other dimensions of poverty.
Efforts to combat poverty must, therefore, pay greater attention to needs and constraints faced by the working poor, especially women, in the informal economy.
