The commonly used offshore wind farm site planning phase measurement data will be used in order to assimilate on site forecasts from different meteorological and oceanographic models ( DWD, ECMWF, … and with the aid of MOS procedures ( model-output-statistics ) improve them.
Finally, the different models will be combined to create a forecast, which will also consist of a statement concerning the possibility of forecasting errors for any given time.
User software is to be developed for both parts of the project, which will ensure wide application of project results within industry.
