www.nadel.ethz.chUm die Kompetenzen in Deutsch und Englisch zu messen, wurden 200 zufällig ausgewählte Gymnasiastinnen und Gymnasiasten im Kanton Zürich zu Beginn und gegen Ende ihrer obligatorischen Schulzeit auf der Oberstufe im Lesen und Schreiben getestet.
Eine Gruppe hatte mit acht Jahren in der Primarschule mit dem Englischunterricht begonnen, während die zweite Gruppe erst mit dreizehn Jahren in der Sekundarstufe damit angefangen hatte.
Neben dem positiven Einfluss des Deutschen auf das Englische wurden auch die negativen Einflüsse bzw. die Übertragung erstsprachlicher Strukturen auf die Fremdsprache in den Bereichen Syntax und Morphologie untersucht.
