Feijoada is the Brazilian national dish prepared with black beans, seasoned with onion and garlic and cooked with various types of cured pork (sausage, jerked beef, bacon, etc.) In certain regions vegetables are added (squash, gherkin, okra, etc.) White rice,farofa (toasted manioc flour), collard greens, hot pepper sauce, and oranges or pineapple are usually served as an accompaniment.
