- A driving licence can be issued to a person over the age of 18 who has passed both parts of the driving test. The first part is the theory test and consists of forty questions based on the highway code. This can be sat from the age of 16 onwards and gives the right to conduite accompagnée. The practical driving test has to be taken within two years of the theory test. It is compulsory to carry your driving licence and carte grise with you when you are driving a vehicle. → conduite
