www.mathematik.uni-stuttgart.deThe main focus of the Institute for Applied Analysis and Numerical Simulation ( IANS ) is analysis, modeling and numerical methods for problems of continuums mechanics described by nonlinear partial differential equations.
For such problems the groups at IANS develop, analyze and implement new efficient numerical schemes.
Practical relevance of these methods is evaluated on high performance computers by real-life problems from natural and engineering sciences.
