Indonesia is one of Germany ’s priority partner countries in the context of its international cooperation.
Technical cooperation with Indonesia began in 1958.
On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), GIZ has been working in Indonesia since 1975 and opened its office in Jakarta the same year.
