These awards recognise adventurers, male or female, and sometimes even teams who show exceptional commitment in expeditions of real endurance.

Last but not least überreichte Hugues de Wavrin, Vizepräsident von La Guilde, André für seinen 26-Stunden-Flug, über den auch in dem Dokumentarfilm berichtet wird, das Goldene Vlies für den Abenteurer des Jahres.
Mit diesem Preis wird ein Abenteurer, eine Abenteurerin oder manchmal auch ein ganzes Team ausgezeichnet, deren Expedition aufgrund von Engagement und Authentizität beeindrucken konnte.
