Today GROTRIAN hosts in turns the regional- and the national competitions of „ Jugend musiziert “ and the GROTRIAN Piano Competition.
In addition to that the GROTRIAN competition for practical school training for piano teaching “ Bundeswettbewerb für Schulpraktisches Klavierspiel ” is held in the conservatory of Weimar every second year, a contest in which prospective music teachers measure their skills in improvisation, transposition, sight-reading and song accompaniment.
