The Ars Electronica Futurelab’s display of airborne artistry was commissioned by Multiple & Spinifex Group, the Australian firm brought in to produce the opening extravaganza.

This was quite a demanding assignment for the Futurelab’s four-person crew in Sharjah.
From extreme environmental conditions including sand, heat and wind to a jam-packed appointment schedule, the team members had to repeatedly prove their adaptability and capacity to smoothly adjust to constantly changing facts and circumstances.

Der Einsatz des vierköpfigen Spaxels-Teams in Schardscha war dabei sehr aufwändig.
Von extremen klimatischen Bedingungen, wie Sand, Hitze und Wind bis hin zu einem überaus dichten Programm, musste das Team immer wieder Flexibilität beweisen und sich an die ständig verändernden Gegebenheiten anpassen.
