By crossing two medias, the artist presents for discussion the genres of photography and painting which continue to be considered authentic and, in doing so, also the real as such.

Indem De Filippi Fotografien oder Fernsehbilder in die Malerei überträgt und dabei die in der Regel verborgenen, medialen Spuren sichtbar macht, ermöglicht er eine Reflexion über diese Medien, die trotz des Wissens um ihre Manipulierbarkeit ihren dokumentarischen Charakter und ihre Beweiskraft nie verloren haben.
Durch die Überkreuzung zweier Medien stellt er das Verhältnis von immer noch als authentisch geltender Fotografie und Malerei und damit auch das Reale als solches zur Diskussion.
