Angesichts der eklatanten Menschenrechtsverletzungen in Ceuta und Melilla haben sich sechs Kirchen und christliche Organisationen schriftlich an den Rat für Justiz und Inneres gewandt, der am 12. Oktober zusammenkommt, um die Europäische Union aufzufordern, der Rhetorik, die sie hinsichtlich der Menschenrechte verwendet, umzusetzen und im Hinblick auf ihre Migrations- und Asylpolitik zu konkretisieren.

In light of the flagrant human rights abuses at Ceuta and Melilla, six Churches and Christian organisations have written to the Justice and Home Affairs Council, which meets on 12 October, to demand that the European Union lives up to the rhetoric it espouses on human rights and concretises them within its migration and asylum policy.
