1997 entscheidet sich BECK fortan als Cartoonist zu arbeiten und zieht ein paar Jahre später zurück nach Leipzig.

www.lentos.atNach dem Abitur absolvierte er eine Ausbildung zum Schriftsetzer und war von 1961 bis 1968 Typograph bei der Berliner Satirezeitschrift „ Eulenspiegel “.
Danach war er freiberuflich als Grafiker und Cartoonist tätig.
Insgesamt hat Manfred Bofinger über 300 Bücher illustriert und auch selbst Geschichten für Kinder geschrieben.
