The lack of clean water is a major cause of disease in earthquake-stricken Haiti.

Das Projekt hatte seinen Schwerpunkt in der Anwendung von Fernerkundungstechnologien (Analyse von LANDSAT ETM und ERS Satellitendaten) und Methoden der digitalen Bildverarbeitung und GIS (Geographische Informationssysteme), um Gefahrenzonierungskarten für den Nordwesten der Türkei zu erstellen.
