Seit 2003 bezahlt Regenwald der Österreicher über die Corcovado Stiftung die Gehälter von zwei Wildhütern.
Der Verein hat eine aktive Rolle übernommen im Kampf gegen illegale Schlägerungen und Jägerei und trifft sich regelmäßig mit Wildhütern, Parkfunktionären und Mitgliedern der Gemeinde.
2009 hat Regenwald der Österreicher 60.000 USD für den Bau einer Wildhüter Station in La Gamba gespendet.
