Aktivisten des Bonner Komitees gegen den Vogelmord hatten nach Hinweisen in den Kreisen Heinsberg, Euskirchen, Kleve, Wesel, Borken, Neuss und Düren zahlreiche illegale Tierfallen sowie vergiftete, gefangene und geschossene Vögel geschützter Arten entdeckt.
Insgesamt wurden 6 Strafverfahren eingeleitet und 28 illegale Fallen für den Fang von Vögeln und Säugetieren beschlagnahmt oder bei den zuständigen Jagdbehörden zur Anzeige gebracht.
Weiterhin wurden bei der Aktion 8 tote und ein frisch gefangener Greifvogel sowie zwei mit Schrot geschossene Reiher entdeckt.

A total of 6 cases are to be prosecuted and 28 illegal bird and mammal traps were seized or handed in to the responsible hunting authority for charges to be laid.
In addition 8 dead and one freshly-trapped bird of prey found, as well as two dead Herons with shotgun wounds.
