Sie lassen die surrealistischen Ansätze Bartas und seinen Weg in die Abstraktion erkennen und dokumentieren die repressiven Jahre des Stalinismus in Ungarn.
Die Ausstellung hebt besonders die Modelle seines bildhauerischen Œuvres heraus, die in Ungarn und in Bartas Wahlheimat am Rhein als Monumentalplastiken im öffentlichen Raum realisiert wurden.
Einige dieser Werke entstanden im Bahnhof Rolandseck, wo Barta von 1965 bis 1967 lebte und arbeitete.

A special focus is laid on the models of his sculptural oeuvre, which were realized as monumental sculptures in public spaces both in Hungary and in Barta’s adopted home on the Rhine.
Several of these works were created in the Bahnhof Rolandseck, where Barta lived and worked from 1965 through 1967.
