Eine besonders schöne Einsteigertour ist die zum Gaishörndl ( 2615 m ), das die Einheimischen übrigens gern abends bei Vollmond ansteuern.
Von Kalkstein – einem Weiler, der zu Innervillgraten gehört – geht’s zunächst durch Lärchenwald sanft ansteigend über die Alfenalm bis zum Talschluss, dann weiter in Spitzkehren hinauf zum Gipfel, der nach etwa drei Stunden und rund 1000 Höhenmetern bezwungen ist.
Eine herrliche Tiefschneeabfahrt führt hinab zum Ausgangspunkt und dem Gasthaus Badlalm.

From Kalkstein – a hamlet which is part of Innervillgraten – proceed initially through the larch forest, climbing gently via the Alfenalm to the head of the valley; continue then in hairpin bends up to the summit, which you’ll get to after some three hours and some 1000 metres altitude.
A superb deep snow run takes you back to the starting point and Gasthaus Badlalm.
