Doch niemals verfällt der Film dabei in eine platte Stilisierung des romantischen Künstlersubjekts.
Vielmehr wird den ZuschauerInnen ermöglicht, die ironische Brechung von McEvil’s Stage-Act auf filmischer Ebene nachzuvollziehen.
