Diana Hummel ist Privatdozentin am Fachbereich Gesellschaftswissenschaften der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, Arbeitsschwerpunkt Weltgesellschaft, Weltentwicklung und Weltordnung einschließlich Friedens- und Konfliktforschung.
Sie hat ein Studium der Erziehungswissenschaften, Psychologie und Gesellschaftswissenschaften an der Universität Frankfurt am Main absolviert und dort 1999 zum Thema promoviert „ Der Bevölkerungsdiskurs.
