Einer tänzerischen Weiterbildung im Merce Cunningham Studio in New York folgen Aufführungen ihrer erster eigenen Arbeiten in Amsterdam.
1995 zog sie nach Berlin, gründete 1997 ihre erste eigene Tanzkompanie, Tamagotchi Y2K, und erarbeitete mit Künstlern aus den verschiedensten Sparten Performances und Stücke.
2003 gründete Macras in Kollaboration mit der Dramaturgin Carmen Mehnert die Tanztheaterkompanie Constanza Macras | DorkyPark.
