Basis der Simulationsmodelle ist die Kenntnis der Bathymetrie, der Sedimentologie ( fraktionierte Sedimentbelegung der Sohle ) und der Bodenformen ( Bodenreibung ); sie fließt von den Teilprojekten 1 und 2 in die Teilprojekte 3, 4 und 5 ein.
Gleichzeitig liefert die veränderliche Zusammensetzung der Bodensedimente bzw. Ausprägung der Sohlenformen Hinweise, um die morphodynamische Modellierung zur validieren und zu kalibrieren.
