MONICA (MOnochromatic Image CAmera) ist eines der Instrumente für das 0.8m Wendelstein-Teleskop.Ein mit flüssigem Sticktoff gekühlter hochempfindlicher CCD Detektor mit 1024 x 1024 Pixeln ermöglicht breit- und schmalbandige Aufnahmen astronomischer Objekte in einem Feld von 8.5 x 8.5 Bogenminuten.
