Ziel dieses Teilprojekts ist die physikalische und chemische Charakterisierung von Eiskeimen (IN = ice nuclei) und Residuen von kleinen Eispartikeln (IPR = ice particle residuals) in der Atmosphäre.
Hierzu wird ein virtueller Gegenstromimpaktor (CVI, counterflow virtual impactor) mit online Aerosolmassenspektroskopie und der Messung physikalischer Aersoleigenschaften, z.B. Partikelgröße, kombiniert.
