Dazu werden unterschiedliche Fragebögen eingesetzt und Experteninterviews, narrative Gespräche ebenso wie vertiefende Interviews mit Mitarbeitern des Mikrofinanzsektors, mit Klienten der Spar- und Kreditgruppen sowie formellen und informellen Institutionen durchgeführt und ausgewertet.
Gruppendiskussionen und materialgestützte Interviewformen („participatory mapping“;Einsatz von Rankings und Satellitenbildern) runden die Methodologie ab.

Dies ist das erste Mal, dass die Konferenz seit ihrer Gründung 1990 auf dem afrikanischen Kontinent abgehalten wird.

The 13th Participatory Design Conference will take place from the 5th until the 10th of October 2014 in Windhoek.
It is the first time that the conference is hosted by an African country since its inception in 1990.
