Nachdem ihre Lager im April 2012 aufgelöst und an die nepalesische Armee bzw. an die Armed Police Force übergeben wurden , ließen sich ca. 1000 maoistische Ex-Kämpfer gemeinsam mit ihren Angehörigen ( 153 Haushalte ) in dieser Gegend nieder .
Kailali ist der Distrikt, der die größte Anzahl an Ex-Kämpfern aufgenommen hat.
